Focus through the lens

Focusing Through the Lens: Week 35

Well hello again friends! I am back!! I was out sick for two weeks and in the middle of being sick, I launched my Etsy store where I will be adding prints and I am working on adding digital downloads. The Fall here in Arkansas has been showing off this year and we are on week two or three of it. Let me tell you, I am here for it! We have been enjoying the cooler weather and finding all the pumpkins. So today, let’s go on walk through a pumpkin area and see what is focusing through the lens this week.

Green Pumpkins
As much as I love pumpkins (mid life love), until a couple of years ago, I didn’t know green pumpkins were a thing. But let me tell you, they are so pretty. They also photograph especially neat.
Bright mixed pumpkins
Ah, the lovely variety of colors are vivid here. I am here for all the colors. Also all of the pumpkins and gourds. If you look in the bottom left corner, you can see the pumpkin where the look of splattered paint is shown. This little beauty was a complete surprise until I edited this photo. I had shot this photo for the big orange one in the middle but now the speckled one is my focal point.
Small striped pumpkins
The small striped pumpkins are too cute not to include in this post. A pumpkin you can pick up and hold? Yes please! Low on space to decorate for the Fall season? These are perfect! Need a center piece for table done? Grab you a few! Photo shoot but you want to make it special? These are your jam!
Dark striped pumpkins
Okay, this photo is one I was not sure about sharing. I have been tweaking this photo for a couple of days and am still not sure this is the look I was going for. See this photo was shot with a harsh sun beating down on them. To fix the over exposure, it has become dark. Normally, I don’t like the dark, moody colors but these little pumpkins are living great in this style. What do you think of the photo?

Thank you for coming to look at pumpkins with me! Fall is one of my favorite season and we are trying to enjoy this long Fall we are getting this year. Are you Fall fan? Or sad because Summer is over? Are you a fan of pumpkins? Let’s get social in the comments!
