Focusing Through the Lens: Week 13

Hey y’all! We have made it to week 13. Truthfully this week, I haven’t taken many pictures. November usually marks a slowing down period on social, photography, and blog. I am trying this year to really not step into the slow down period and instead focusing on growing. So this week is going to be about simple things we have done. Come take a walk with through my lens.

Halloween was last Wednesday and Glitter decided to go as a modern witch. Truthfully, we are excited to have her sorta dress up. She is getting to the age where she is too cool or it is not cool to dress up. I will say the wild weeds behind the house we’re a perfect background to this photo.

Blu and I have been spending more time out walking since the weather has cooled down. He loves to sniff everything under the sun and I enjoy the peace of getting out and unplugging. He is just over a year old, so he is still full puppy stage. Honestly, I wouldn’t have him any other way besides full tilt.

These are the last of the flowers around our house. They are looking a little worse for wear but they are still hanging on with everything they have. I check them everyday on my walk to see how they are doing. I will be sad to see them go but have enjoyed them.

As you can tell, my furniture doesn’t match. The granny couch has been a great couch and my chevron chair has been a great little purchase. Of course a sleepy Blu makes them match. I have never been all about the matchy matchy with my furniture instead I have opted for pieces which speak to me. I am sure my friends who are home decor peeps cringe at my choices but I can promise you, you will always feel right at home.

And I definitely don’t match my furniture. I have stuff from my parent’s house, my great grandma, and stuff I bought on Facebook Marketplace. If it fits in the living room, I’m fine with it, especially since it’s just gonna get coated in dog hair.
